This Car PC kit includes an Intel D525MWV Mini-ITX Motherboard (with Intel Atom D525 Dual-core CPU) with 2GB of DDR3 memory. An M2-ATX 160W Automotive Power Supply provides power and the entire system is housed within a rugged and compact VoomPC-2 Car PC case.
Complete system: To complete this system, you will need a hard drive and Operating System software.

The Intel® Desktop Board D525MWV is designed to unleash the power of the new Intel® Atom™ processor D525 (1.8GHz Dual Core, Hyper-Threading Technology) which supports the new revolutionary two–chip layout. This new chipset layout reduces the package footprint by 70 percent, enabling easier routing and better heat flow. The Intel® NM10 Express Chipset also provides additional flexibility and upgradability with two slots of single channel DDR3 memory at 1066/800 MHz supporting up to 4GB maximum. The VoomPC-2 Automotive Mini-ITX enclosure features a durable and stylish design with rugged and durable construction in mind. The VoomPC-2 enclosure can house a Mini-ITX form-factor motherboard, DC-DC power supply board (in this case the fanless 160W M2-ATX) as well as a 2.5" hard disk drive and slimline optical drive (i.e. CDRW/DVDRW). The front panel I/O allows for easy access to 2 x USB 2.0 ports as well as composite audio out (RCA). Included with this system are two quick-disconnect power adapter cables. (1) for use inside your automobile and (2) to use with an AC/DC adapter (no AC/DC adapter is included) for installation and use indoors

The M2-ATX 160W DC-DC Automotive Power Supply features wide DC-input range operation. Since the power inside of an automobile is "dirty" and suffers from voltage fluctuation, the M2-ATX works on its own to keep power clean and stable for the Car PC system. The M2-ATX also features its own built-in power on and shutdown controller with different timing schemes to tailor to your needs. In a practical sense, you won't need to manually switch on the PC every time you start your car and, should you turn your car engine off (i.e. ignition current drops off), you'll still have time to properly shutdown your computer without worrying about hard drive corruption.
